A canal junction close to Birmingham city centre, taken on a recent holiday. These cast-iron bridges are a feature of the area and very photogenic.

Nice light reflected up under the bridge. Were you dangling from a rope from the bridge to get this shot?

A lovely image Richard with a strong dynamic composition. As Paul mentioned, the lighting on the underside of the bridge lifts it from the commonplace and gives it a slightly surreal feel. The exposure from the little Olympus looks bang-on and seems to have printed extremely well.
Did it print fairly straight or was there a lot to do burning & dodging to balance the highlights and shadows?

Just two exposures, the main one at grade 3 then a grade 0 burn to put some tone back into the sky without adversely affecting the bridge. I picked up the 35RC from a local auction for a fiver, and after resoldering the wire onto the battery compartment (it had corroded) it seems to be as good as new!

I really like this, and have the print - I thought I'd commented but can't see it? The light captured o the underside of the bridge is astounding, thank you.
