Looks very desolate, bleak and wintry. Is that snow/sleet I can see against the background of the trees?

It is snow. It was below freezing point also. When I was ready to shoot the first picture, the battery said it was too cold so I had to replace it with my gloves on.

That'as great Alfonso . . it looks like Scotland (!) and it also looks like the aftermath of a battle.
You've certainly captured an atmosphere.

When my wife saw it, she asked me if it was a kind of French war cemetery. It really looks a bit like that, specially as there are a couple of straws (?) in the foreground that look like a cross. I have to admit that I have never seen the corn straws as black as those and the contrast with the snow was fantastic.
