I had just arrived to my hotel when I saw the cornfield from my room. I went down and could take three pictures before being too dark. My apologizes for the poor scanning.

It is snow. It was below freezing point also. When I was ready to shoot the first picture, the battery said it was too cold so I had to replace it with my gloves on.

When my wife saw it, she asked me if it was a kind of French war cemetery. It really looks a bit like that, specially as there are a couple of straws (?) in the foreground that look like a cross. I have to admit that I have never seen the corn straws as black as those and the contrast with the snow was fantastic.
