This not so recent negative seemed to magically surface for this round, after a discussion about still-life's.

Taken in my bedroom 'studio', using only natural light from an Easterly facing window.

Looking at the contacts, it seemed I tried various backgrounds and positions of the still-life but this is the one I like the most.

Taken with a Pentax MZ5N = still one of my favourite cameras, on Ilford's ISO 3200 film and developed in Ilfosol S, which I used all the time when this was taken.

Nice one Terry, but for me just 1 comment in that I would have liked to see the highlights on the egg ans at the top burned in a tad, it seems to go from very bright highlight to shadow with nothing in between, did you use a reflector to put a little extra light into the shadow area ? but apart from that well lit and well composed
Richard

Thanks for the comments Richard. Smile

As usual, the highlights on the scan are more pronounced and the 'print in the hand' is very close to the screen version but not exactly the same.

As a reflector, I would have used a sheet of A4 paper just to soften the light in the shadows a tadge.

Hi Terry- yes, the scan has 'flattened' the range of tones in the print a bit- in reality the shadows have rather more life to them. None the less, I love the way some eggs and a fork have been turned into a strong, graphic image by managing the composition and the light.
