Square is my favourite format, and the weighting of the composition here works well in this shape. The bright highlights coming through the trees are really pretty, and I'm not troubled by the slight flaring- it suits the mood.
If I was to change anything, I might just burn down that bottom right hand corner a bit darker- it's bright enough to draw the eye down to the edge of the frame. Having said that, what a really lovely print to be your first posting in the exchanges. Very fine, Jakub.

Thank you, the ground was rather light coloured there (limestone with light-brown clay) - I'll bear this in mind, when I'll print from this negative again. Also, I think I'll try to burn the whole top part more, just to see how the flaring will work limited a bit more with darker toned branches and leaves around.
Actually, it's now my second post in exchange, I have one in August already

Holding the print in my hand this is indeed a lovely print, and I love the way the sunlight coming though the tree tops is lovely and gives the whole print a lovely atmosphere, well done

The rays of light combined with the path going out to the other corner give this image a special note. Bit weird & mysterious, though a familiar view for a hiking man like me. Love it. Frank

Very nice, Jakub. I like the twisted roots.

A path that leads somewhere is always interesting to photograph. Welcome to the exchanges and hope to see many more Jakub.
