This looks great, Frank. You have really caught the snow in a nice light, and the backlit figure adds to the overall scene. I have tried similar views looking at the Sun, but mostly get flare. You must be using a good lens, kept perfectly clean.

Nicely framed and composed, Frank.

I like contre-jour photographs and this is well caught and I echo what alexmuir has said.

When I first looked at this in the thumbnail and small on my Kindle Fire, my first reaction was that I would have put the figure further to the left silhouetted more centrally on the road. However, looking at it enlarged on my PC monitor, it is far better where it is: more subtle with the hair rim lit and the shadow more prominent.

A cold winter scene nicely captured with al the elements, the weak sun creating texture and shadows, the tracery of the bare trees and the path leading us through the scene.

Thank you very much, gentlemen!
The lens used was a 80mm Zeiss Planar on a Rolleiflex built in 1961. It's a wonderful camera.

A stunning wintry photograph,Frank, the type of shot I would love to have the chance to look for, but we just don't get enough snow
