Stunningly brilliant work, both making the photo and the print.

Thank you both for your comments. It's a lot of fun Martin - as long as the subject is not too far from the car.....

There's something magical in large format photos, and you've managed to make it even more magical in the print!
Really impressive!

Really good separation, not only in tone and contrast but especially dof. The lens has worked stella wide open, makes you wonder what it'd do with a portrait? Smile

Thanks Martin, yes, portraits have been on my mind tbh. This was really a test to see how it performed. I just need to work out the correct aperture so I feel a bit more confident with exposure.

I agree with what has been said. Especially the subtle use of depth of field which is essential for this kind of image, as it simulates how the human eye sees selectively rather than sharp from back to front.

Crikey Tony, that's a weak dev dilution. How long did you process for?
Nice photo.

It was 9.45 minutes continuous agitation in an Orbital. I found the 'recipe' on Massive Dev. I think the original was something like 13+ minutes but I reduced for the agitation. I only had HC110 in the cupboard so used that but I've not had much success with it since - probably too little syrup in the Orbital. I've gone back to using Fomadon R09 and it's a lot better.
