This is a straight print of another photo taken while in Spain in June in the village where my Spanish daughter-in-law’s mother grew up. The village is largely in ruins although a number of the houses have been done up by the families of former inhabitants who come back for the summer holidays. The house in the sun is one such although empty and locked up when we were there (they seem to partly cover the front doors with a corrugated iron or metal sheet, against what, I am not sure). These are cheek by jowl with those that are in ruins as the building on the right that is partly in shadow.

An interesting street Mike and I do like the way the light falls on that old doorway. Good shadows and lighting throughout too.

Marvellous print of this subject. I like when in such scenery a good amount of realism rules.
