"Analogue Essentials" new online shop launching 02/04/15

Hi!

This came to me via Email:

It is based in the UK. Company is called Specialist Photographic Ltd T/A Analogue Essentials in Worcestershire.

I wonder who is behind this venture? Perhaps most pertinent that someone thinks there is a space in the market.

I got this e-mail as well. In the very small print at the top it says:
"You are receiving this email as a result of your subscription to the mailing list at Specialist Photographic Limited".

I was not aware I had subscribed to a mailing list from this company so I wonder where they are getting their base information from?

Hi all. Well done for making the connection!

This is a secondary site on which we can target slightly different customers and also on which we are launching our new stock control and inventory management systems (which will be rolled out to the main site when it re-launches before the May day bank holiday.)

The site is "de-cluttered" of all the more specialist products because we believe there is a strong novice interest in analogue at the moment and they will find this easier to navigate and understand. It also means we can test different products / prices / offers on one site without putting out a confusing message on the other site.

At the same time, we have made large investments in stock over the last 4 weeks and it's all geared towards being able to give the best possible customer service - something we have not been able to do sometimes.

We will launch the new site tomorrow. I would be interested in taking a second advert on here for Analogue Essentials too - who deals with this now?!

Hi Matt,

Must admit I stopped using Ag due to stock and customer services problems. When Ag launched the business was always very prompt.

I don't blame you Tom - we have had a lot of problems here. As the business grew, the systems didn't.

We have totally revamped the way we do things here and this will culminate in a completely new Ag Photographic website to be launched 1 May. The critical areas include:

- Stock investment. We now have a lot more stock here. And it is still growing. Some areas are still to be sorted out, but will be over the next 4 weeks.

- Stock Inventory control. We now have a very special piece of software installed to manage our inventory across multiple selling channels. As online trading becomes increasingly complex, we have to respond to this in order to maintain customer service. Even in the last 2 years (let alone the last 5) things have moved on considerably in the field of online selling.

Matt,

Glad to hear about the increased investment in your business. If Ag has the opportunity to again be able to efficiently supply and source a broad range of products at competitive prices it can only be good for the market.

Tom
