Presentation box materials

Dose anyone know where I could buy materials to make a presentation/ portfolio box from.
I have looked on line only to find lots of companies selling services to make them for you at some cost.
I have a special print run in mind that I would like a special presentation box for.
Any suggestion welcome

Hi Mitch,
You could try Ratchfords in Manchester for book binding materials.
You might also like this video of how to make a clamshell presentation box.

If you are not totally against buying a premade one, at least one of our sponsors, Silverprint, have portfolio boxes in various sizes, as does ebay UK. I found them doing a search with the words, 'portfolio box'.

You could try CXD International. They have the Royal Warrant and do quite a range of different items. I've bought some of their boxes for negative storage.

You could try the tiny box company, much cheaper than silverprint and you can even get them personalised.

Hi Mitch, this is something I've done various times. You need a bookbinding supplier for these materials. I have used this company because of their wide range of colours and materials: https://www.schmedt24.de/en/.

Here's an 8 x10 presentation case I made for a wedding. 3mm board with fabric covering chosen to match the Groom's blue suit!

The prints were made in my darkroom, but I doubt the happy couple would have cared if they were digital prints. (Although they did specifically ask for my services alongside the Digital photographer).

From what you show in your post Edmund, I am very impressed with the quality of your colour printing. Well done you! :)

I love the colour of the box as well and have read quite a few posts over the years of reading forums, of more and more 'customers' asking for a film camera photographer to take pictures of their wedding, and I'm sure you'll get a few recommendations by the bride and groom.
