Hello from Leeds

Hello,

I'm Andy

Got back into film a few years ago. I like to play, so apologies to those of you who like your art without colour casts etc. :)

I most use a FED2 but also a 1950's Ensign and 70's Zenit.

Motorcycles are my other thing, so you can guess what a lot of the subjects are.

Cheers

Andy

Welcome aboard Andy. I'm somewhat colourblind anyway, so colour casts are a way of life for me :D

Hi Andy and welcome to Fadu, I also like the Ensign's and have around five of them which get used at times, and I also have a Fed 2, which can be fun to use at times,
Richard

Welcome! I've got a Fed3 which I love. Surprisingly sharp lenses!

Welcome Andy Even for those of us who might prefer "castless":D pics I can think of some situations that an artistic cast might well be attractive

What I do recall is seeing a ring-around in a colour printing book where if anything the yellow cast was just as good as the neutral to me. It was a portrait of a little blonde girl in a white cardigan and it actually looked better with a dose of yellow filtration. It softened the colour of her hair and her cardigan

As a lover of late 1950s and early 60s British bikes I can say that if you ever move to b&w the bike to photograph is the Norton Model 50 :D The colour scheme of black and silvery grey looks really great

I am a particular fan of the 350 singles, having owned a BSA B31. The 350s all "looked the part" but there was a good chance that unless you were crazy, you'd get to B from A in one piece :D
