In need of processing help

I have a problem with my planned darkroom, since filling the small space I have with kit needed for the darkroom there simply is not enough room for me to work.
I've been asked to take some portrait shots for a friend, can anyone recommend who to use for processing.
What i'd like is to send a roll of film off for processing and then get a proof print so I can then decide the best shot for print.
This will be done on 35mm black and white.
Any quality labs out there?

Quality being the key word:
Downtown Darkroom

thanks guys i'll look into that. As for the darkroom issue it's going to have to be a shed on the garden

You have me thinking now! With my darkroom in a shed I could play Bach to my hearts content.

You mean to say that you cannot already; that’s terrible.
