Leica m3 and Leica summaron 35mm f2.8 lens
I am selling my Leica M3 and Leica 35mm f2.8 summaron lens due to lack of time :(, these are proper Leitz items made in the Leica heyday
The M3 is in great condition and is the DS version from 1956, these are becoming sought after and becoming dearer with time, it has a few marks on it with age but not like some of the ones you see on ebay:eek: It looks great for it,s age, the rangefinder is spot on and everything works like it should, has body cap The camera had a full service from peter at CRR Luton that cost £185 in August 2016, he also checked the lens and said it is great (he wrote comments on the service receipt) and he has done a great job on the camera, i will include the service sheet with the sale The lens is a 1959 f2.8, and is the version with the goggles that use the 50mm frame lines, the lens is clean and has no fungus in it, comes with front and back caps (front one silver) Also a B+W UV MRC filter to go over the front to protect the lens I am looking for £1050 for the camera and lens, this has been serviced so you are not taking a chance like ebay etc, by the way look at the prices on ebay for a serviced m3 and f2.8 summaron lens Photos on request or if you are close enough come and try it out, no offers and genuine enquires please Thanks Paddy |
Last price drop to £1000

its a nice camera Paddy ,we were talking about camera prices ,and when you look at the modern equivalent prices of Leica's a £1000 pounds is fraction of what you could spend ,and as long as there is film they will only go up in price ..

The trouble nowadays paul, is most people want something for bargain basement prices
Digital has not helped either, maybe it was an omen to keep hold of it :D Paddy |
I suspect the problem here, Paddy, is that most members have all the cameras they want/need. I think we are a "mature" user group in terms of both experience and age which has its good points but it tends to mean that by and large selling opportunities for "big ticket" items such as Leicas are limited.

I think this forums members has dwindled somewhat, this has not helped
Maybe it was an omen to keep hold of it Mike, plus like you said many people are happy with what they have Time seems to be a luxury at the moment, i will have to get out and shoot some slides with it Paddy |
