upload of your file failed?

Hi Techies,
I've tried to upload a manual even having followed forum instructions and trying different browsers but without luck!

It's a PDF file ext., only 6.1mb, 81 pages admittedly, 793x933 resolution all pages under 1400x1400. Created with Adobe Acrobat pro. The file works fine on my computer, phone and tablet.

What am I doing wrong?

PS "computer says no."
It would be nice if the computer gave a reason why rather than just say "upload of your file failed".

Yours, battered, bewildered and beaten...

Hi Marty,

Sorry for the delayed response. I have not looked at the settings for Articles for quite some time so I had to check as Bob changed some of these a while back. The current attachment upload limit for pdf's is 25Mb so yours should be OK? I will check with Bob to make sure I have not missed anything.

Ah.... The forum PDF upload limit is 25MB ... but ... the underlying PHP platform only allows 2MB for any file upload. I'm not sure when/how that changed 'cos it used to be higher.

I will look into getting it changed back but it will take a few days so in the meantime, see if you can get the file to under 2MB.

For example, the attached SQ-A manual PDF is 27 pages and 447kB

Cheers, Bob.

Thanks Bob. Good to know you've been able to get to the bottom of it. I'll try it again at the weekend to see if it works.
