Ademco adhesive dry mounting tissue
Hi everyone
I am going through my late father’s photography equipment and supplies, and there are a few things in which some of you specialist people might be interested. First in the box is an open pack of this tissue. Originally there were 22 sheets, size 8.5” by 6.5”. A good number appear to have been cut into two equal pieces, but there are a few full-size sheets as well. Would anyone be interested? Make me an offer, to include postage! Best wishes Kay |
Hi Kay, my condolences.
Very few folk have a dry mount press in order to make good use of the tissue and given the amount and size, it has little value. If I were you, just give it away to someone local who will give it a good home. Your father must have been quite a serious photographer in his day if he went to the lengths of dry mounting his prints. I'm sure he'd be pleased to know that someone was enjoying the hobby as much as he did. |
Hi Marty
Thank you, and, yes, he was a serious photographer. I know no one local who’d be interested. Happy to pass it on for just postage costs if anyone out there wants it. |
Dry Mounting
You don't have to have a dry mounting press to use it. I employed a domestic non steam iron for years using fibre paper drymounting tissue and they never ever came unstuck. (Unlike some spray on adhesives)
(Doesn't work too well with RC paper though) |
