Hello from London
Hi all,
Looking forward to getting stuck into this forum. I mainly shoot 35mm and seldom use my medium format cameras other than for portraits - my Mamiya rz67ii rarely makes it off the tripod! Hoping to learn more on developing at home before eventually putting a darkroom together for enlargements and such. I shoot 35mm with a Nikon f3 on any Ilford I can my hands on and occasionally shoot Kodak TMAX. If I ever go colour, it's Kodak portra. Still learning lots about film as I go - I've been shooting digital for 12 years. I got into film after seeing my first roll out of my dad's Nikon f301 (basically a baby f3 that had a built in auto wind on) and just fell in love with its quality and classic grain. Happy snapping! Cheers, Mat. |

Hi Mat and welcome to Fadu

Nice set of cameras, Mat. There are those who rate the F3 on a par with either the F100 or F5 and who is to say they are wrong
Incidentally in preparation for a darkroom and printing you can try your hand at B&W negative processing. All it takes in winter is the evening( darkness outside) and a small dark cupboard into which you can fit plus a film tank for loading. The rest is done in normal light in, say, the kitchen. Alternatively get a changing bag and it can be done while watching the tele:D It's good fun unrolling a completed film's worth of negatives off the reel at the end Mike |
Welcome, Mat. Enjoy! :-)
