Making Enlarged Negatives
Is there anyone out there who can teach me to make good enlarged negatives from roll film or sheet film? I would be very happy to reciprocate with some platinum printing teaching. I'm London based but can travel reasonable distances. Thanks in advance. Ian.

The second reason is that in my experience, if you know what to look for, it's usually possible to tell the difference between a print from a digital negative and one made with a film negative. I don't want to make a class of prints which could be viewed as inferior to my large format prints. |
I would love to accompany you on such a "teach in" Ian. I am planning some Salt Printing experiments with my 6X6 negs but would like to have some larger ones.

Ian and Andrew, I am experimenting with the 'Negatives by Reversal' technique outlined on the UnblinkingEye website. And would be happy to keep you updated with my progress, if that would be of any help.

I am in the playing around stage at the moment, but the reason I decided to go with the reversal technique is the apparent easier control of contrast in the finished negative. Steve |
