Kodak Black-White Dataguide

Would appreciate the insight of experienced Kodak DataGuide Users.

I'm have the 1979 Black-and-White Darkroom Dataguide
Edition 6

On Page 5 The Table of Development Numbers.
Why are some numbers Light Grey while others Orange Brown vs normal BLACK?

On Page 7 The Developing Dial
What is the purpose of the Orange Brown "P" to the left of the dial Triangle Pointer?

Thanks in advance

Kodaks Dataguides differed at one time depending on the country, Kodak Ltd (UK) were a different company to Eastman Kodak.

We had some different developers in the UK that were never sold (or published) in the US. UK made Tri-X behaved slightly differently to US or Canadian Tri-X and film developer datasheets gave times for the 3 different emulsions.
