rolleiflex film backs help

i have a rolleiflex 6003 professional similar to the 6008 .Now i can buy 6006 film backs to go on my 6003 but they dont talk to the camera so my camera will default on 100asa when fitted to my 6003 camera ,so using 100asa film is not a problem ....this is what they say to do . [You can save money by getting a used Rollei 6006 film magazine, but the 6003 camera assumes ISO 100 film, necessitating use of the exposure compensation dial on the camera body with non-ISO 100 emulsions.],so say if i use 125asa film how do i adjust the compensation dial ,and how could i work it out on all or most film speeds .i am a bit thick when it comes to this so if you can, can you explain it in simple terms ,or just tell me where to turn the compensation dial for each film .i know there are a lot of clever clogs here so if you can help thanks ..

This site gives some information on the 6003 Pro.

And here's a link to the manual.

I don't know much about this range as I have a SL66E that uses magazines rather than a fixed back with film inserts.

Hi Paul, this is my take on your exposure compensation settings. Hopefully someone can either confirm or correct my thinking if I'm wrong.

-2 = 400
-1 2/3 = 320
-1 1/3 = 250
-1 = 200
-2/3 = 160
-1/3 = 125
0=100
+1/3 = 80
+2/3 = 64
+1 = 50
+1 1/3 = 40
+1 2/3 = 32
+2 = 25

That looks about right to me Marty

My thinking is that faster films will be over-exposed and so you'll need to go to the minus side of the compensation dial.

And likewise slower films will be under-exposed so you'll need to compensate by going in the plus direction.

thanks collas i have seen them ,its the percentage i have to turn the exposure compensation that's got me ,the 6003 takes anything the 6008 can take it is sold with a cheaper back but it comes of and i can put any back on from the 600 series of backs ,no modification needed ,but the older 6006 backs don't talk to the newer cameras ,but the 6006 are a lot cheaper to buy than the newer backs ,they are still cheaper than Hasselblad backs .:D

The exposure compensation switch on page 17 of the manual goes from +2 to -4⅔ so the the range of film speeds covered is from 25 ISO (+2) all the way up to 2500 ISO (-4⅔).

"Using 6006 magazines
Rolleiflex 6006 film magazines can be used on the Rolleiflex 6003. Since these do not transmit the lSO speed to the camera, however, the latter will automatically default to ISO 100/21º when the exposure-compensation switch 60 is in its zero position.
Films with speeds from lSO 25/15º to 2500/35º can then be used by adjusting the exposure-compensation switch accordingly. Conversely, 6008 magazines may be used on a Rolleiflex 6006 if the film speed is set on the camera in the usual way. On request, 6006 magazines can be up-graded by the Rollei Service."
