Pentax Pete is BACK !!

YES Folks !! I Survived a 4th CUT and 5th Cancer ! So kind of you to mention about me in Princess Grace Hospital -- i was admitted to remove 2 Liver Cancer Lesions spread from my Rectal cancer operation in Basildon Hospital in June 2018 -- A Professor Kocher with Dr Tsang of Southend Hospital where I had to go for 6 Chemo Sessions arranged it as the Royal London Whitechapel was not safe due to so many Covid-19. The NHS funded it -- I had an En-suite private room. i now have another Huge CUT semi-circular on my Abdomen -- very SORE --- NO Heavy Lifting, NO darkroom work but I can manage Film processing only. Surgeon said it would take 6 weeks to recover !

Welcome back and good luck with the recovery!

Welcome back Pete. We last spoke on Photrio about your Orthochromatic film shot when you mentioned an operation. Glad it all went well and frankly surgeons tend to be very conservative about recovery time so six weeks is amazing.

Try to make sure you do everything naked so you can see the scar at all times to remind you not to get too ambitious in the early weeks :D

Welcome back! I came across one of your posts on Photrio the other day and, after reading here that you were headed for a hospital visit, I wondered/worried about how you were going. It's lovely to see you back and I'm reading your exclamation marks as cheerful and chipper and hope that this is most definitely the case! :)
Take good care of yourself and, again, I'm happy to see you posting again.
Kindly,
Molli

Great to see you back among us Pete.

I hope you make a full and speedy recovery!

Well done Pete

Take it easy - being mucked about under the knife takes a lot longer than you think (and wish)

Hope you are up and about very soon

Best wishes

Martin

Wishing you a speedy and successful recovery, not sure about 6 weeks to recover. My brother had a hernia operation, thought he was OK after 6 weeks, ripped it wide open doing the garden. Take care and make steady progress remember "the turtle and the hare".:)

Pete,
Very, very pleased to see you posting.
As others have suggested, take the 6 weeks with a pinch of salt. Tissues will knit reasonably well in 10-14 days, but the deeper muscle layers won't regain all their strength for more like 3-4 months.
No big lifting, but you know that.
If you fancy a challenge while your laid up get writing; you always strike me as a man with a few tales to tell. Get them written, and along with your huge archive of images some of us could be getting Pentax-Pete's book for Christmas.
