Stop Bath

A different take on the idea put forward by Mike. Resin coated paper is not really porous that is why the washing cycle is in minutes rather than approaching an hour. Also as most papers (B&W) are...

Translucency

I am this could affect still not convinced but if that is a significant problem the masking frame should possibly have a 37% grey background or the white may degrade the image by reflection back up...

I posted a few months ago that I was very pleased with it. It is about 1/2 a stop faster and seems to be a 1/2 to 1 grade harder and a little cooler as well. Actually very similar to the old Kentmere...

Seen in the cold light of day

The impression is just the same as it was last night Richard. The saturation of both is better when seen in diffused sunlight but the impression is the same. I can see more edge fall off with the...

My Perception, real or not?

It has been my understanding for a long time that a med format negative exposed under similar circumstances would always give a better quality print than a 35mm one.

I have just made 2 12x16...

One down another to go

I used a soldering iron and it worked. The missing piece of plastic was reinforced with a tiny piece of stainless steel wire imbedded in the plastic.

The downside is that I should have done it in...

To be more accurate the lids packed up and the central section which is both the light...
