Marty, yes I agree; the anecdotal text in Elements is very interesting. And I am forever grateful to him for pointing out the excellent qualities of Perceptol when diluted to 1+2 or 1+3.

Pyrocat HD at a dilution of 1+1+100 is fine grained, as you say. But at 2+2+100 it is quite grainy. 20 years ago I used to use it at this dilution with HP5 and Foma 400. I liked a bit of grain back...
