There are some nice pictures in the article, but the description of the exposure and development of the first one (statue) is pretty complicated. It would have helped to know what the original film speed was (100ASA?), why a strong amber filter was necessary on a negative film (tungsten balanced?) and what was the purpose of ‘push processing’, which sounded more like simple over-development.
Some of the general advice is good, like avoid over exposure with slides and stick to B&W or current colour processes.
Like the author, I also found that processing old E6 film as a negative in C41 gave acceptable results. I had followed advice to under expose by one stop, but the frames I exposed at the original film speed were actually better. The colours were also disappointingly accurate, when I thought I would get something a bit psychedelic!
