Looking at my Ilford Manual of Photography for the ID11 formula I came across an error for the replenisher formula.
The developer uses Sodium sulphite, but the replenisher lists Sodium sulphide.
It seemed a bit odd to me.
Not being a chemist, I PM'd Lostlabours .
His swift reply was that it was a typo.
Sodium sulphide would instantly fog the film. It should be sodium sulphite in both.
He checked his copies, and all of his editions are correct in the 1976 reprint and earlier versions.
I have attached a couple of snaps taken from the faulty 1978 reprint..
