Adams work has never really grabbed me, as it has so many others. But I too have this book in my Amazon list of maybe purchases, for if nothing else I would like to see his 'back catalogue', made before his more well known work.

The only time that I've seen Adams work close up, was on a trip to San Francisco, at a small gallery.

I believe that the work I saw was quite early stuff, and I was left feeling, 'What is all the fuss about?'

The framed prints were about the size of 10" x 8", but they totally lacked any contrast and came across as very bland work and the total opposite for what he is known for today.

So like Norm, I'd be interested to hear anyone's view who has the book, but especially from anyone, if like me, you are not much of a fan of his work in general.
