I would suggest that if the enlarger can be boxed up, it is possible to get it transported for less than you think.

You could try putting a request in to one of the online courier bidding services. Something like https://www.uship.com/uk/

As with everything, there is a chance that a local delivery driver has some spare capacity and is heading your way.


Just thinking about it, I drove brighton to bristol to collect 8 dining chairs in a transit a few years back. With a stop-over, we made a weekend of it in Bristol and it was very enjoyable. Quite a few van hire companies have cheap weekend rates as well, so worth a look.

I'd come and collect it and store it, except i've already got 3 spare 5*4 enlargers in the loft ;-)
