Thanks for the link, I found the video of interest, but suggest that the process would be much easier with a foot switch controlled timer.

Thanks Keith; good to see Andrew in action, a great darkroom printer

Have to agree with Dave, personally I find a timer foot switch a great asset. I do have a Paterson electronic metronome which I do find useful when holding back.

Interesting to see how others work. Andrew's trays progressed from right to left, I don't think this would work for me. Am I strange?

Never given it a thought but now you mention it I've always worked from left to right.

Thanks for the posting very interesting, I have never tried split printing as I always used graded paper, but now I have the Ilford 500 head i was going to give it a go. I had been reading the Tim Rudman - Master printing Course but a practical demonstration is very useful.

I always process left to right in trays assuming full access to the sink.

Just watched the videos and noticed Andrew wasn't working with proportional f-stop timing which would be rather difficult with the metronome method I'd have thought.

I think it depends on wether you are right/left handed. So what happen if you are ambidextrous? you work both ends to the middle

In college depended which side of the room you were in, trays were in the centre, so if you were on the far side of the darkroom (from the entrance) you were going right to left, but if you were on the near side you were going left to right.
