Smile Hello from N Essex

Hello
By way of introduction, I’m Mike from N. Essex. My main interest is in monochrome landscape. I built a darkroom about a year ago. Currently learning the ropes of 5 x 4 and 10 x 8 cameras and associated darkroom techniques. I use a Walker Titan for 5 x 4 and a Burke & James for 10 x 8. The main reason for the latter was to try contact printing and to sample Pt/Pd work (once I’ve finished building a UV cabinet).

My aim at present is to get equipment and methods so well sorted out that I can forget about them and concentrate on the image. Simplification - it takes such a long time, but I think it will be worth it!

Welcome Mike. There are several 5x4 and 10x8 drivers here for you to bounce ideas off. Sadly mine aren’t getting as much use as they should at the moment.

Hello Mike and welcome to the forum. Great to have you here from a fellow 4x5 and 8x10 user. My biceps are coming along nicely

Welcome aboard Mike. Sounds like you have your next few years work sewn-up photo-wise! My 5x4 needs an airing this year or all that film in my fridge is going to go stale!

Have fun, Bob.
