Default Hello everyone, nice to be here.

Hello all,

I'm in my late 40's.
I have been 'away' from photography for about 15 years.
I've recently rekindled my interest.
I used to shoot 35mm film (b+w, and colour) as a hobby, and a very small amount of commercial medium-format colour portraiture (mostly kids).
I have vague, distant memories of darkroom procedures for b+w.

Having completely missed the emergence of the digital 'revolution', I recently attended a ten week (30 hours) beginners course in digital photography at College, where I came to the realisation that I really want to concentrate my interest in the film format once again.

I hope to refresh my slender past learnings here, and hopefully learn a touch more.
I am currently saving all my pennies in order to obtain a used film camera, which I hope to be in the medium format.
I am on the look out for practical learning opportunities, and friendly clubs in my local area (I'm near Croftfoot Raiilway Station, Glasgow).
I am currently operating on the breadline.

So, whether my interest once again reaches the giddy heights of the practical, or stays at the frustrating theoretical, I think I might hang around here awhile......if that's alright with you guys ?

Best
JP

Hi JP and welcome from a Scot with relatives in the "Milk".
Stick with us and only your friends and pocket might regret it( the former because you'll bore them about analogue photography : and the latter because you'll spend money in pursuit of the next shot.
