Introduction to Film and Darkroom User
Found this site after googling for Nova info and thought this could be helpful to me. First became interested in photography when the father of a girlfriend gave me Ross Ensign Selfix. I was a mechanical engineering apprentice at the time so anything with knobs, gears, springs and making a whirring sound, I found really interesting. Within a few years I had my own darkroom, printing both colour and B/W. Thinking that by 2003 darkrooms were a thing of the past I dismantled mine, the first time without a darkroom in over twenty years. Ten years later, I have just finished building a new darkroom as well as buying back all the gear I got rid of. Why, I realised the darkroom had been key to me enjoying photography and sending files away to be printed or putting up with the vagaries of an inkjet printer was just so boring. I'm now looking forward to spending a few evenings producing that master piece of B/W printing that's so far eluded me but doesn't stop me trying.

Yes welcome back Jeff. You were dismantling your darkroom when I was planning mine. I hope you get to a masterpiece in a few evenings but with analogue it isn't just the arrival that is satisfying it's the journey as well.
