Default Hello from Tasmania!

I am hoping to learn a lot from participating in this forum. My darkroom is under construction, in it I have colour and B&W equipment. Hugely looking forward to that first print appearing

I am eliminating light leaks and thinking about ventilation. I plan to maximise use of my Jobo to reduce fumes, I need to make sure I have this well thought through as I have young kids and don't want anything to get to them!

Any thoughts or thread pointers would be welcome, cheers.

Hi David and welcome. The Jobo is a useful piece of kit. Provided you can lock the darkroom doors or at least lock away all the chemicals when you aren't in the darkroom, I wouldn't worry about the kids coming to any harm.

Hi David and welcome to FADU, what I did in my darkroom is I have fitted a fan one of those that are in bathrooms ,but instead of coming on when I turn the light switch on I have a separate switch for it I fitted it a foot away from the ceiling and I also put an air brick about a foot above the floor just above the skirting board to aid circulation ,when you are in a room with blocked windows and doors you need some fresh air to keep the old brain going .And with all chemicals around the house you should keep them away from young hands ..
good luck with your darkroom and start printing up them memories for the future ....

Hi David welcome to FADU, having recently moved home I had to make a new darkroom which I have now completed and I hope I have stopped the the last light leak but won't guarantee that just yet. Hope you enjoy the forum.
Richard

Google maps can't calculate the distance between your home and my home, and I don't know if this is a good new or a bad new...
