From the Holy Mountain
Dear Friends,
I am not very good at self promoting (neither do I like it), but I thought that this may be of interest to some members.. st month I've made a pilgrimage the Holy Mountain of Athos, in Greece. I've spent almost a week there and although photography was not the main reason of going there, I've managed to bring home a nice pile of exposed film. I would like to share with you my "view" of this extraordinary place. You may visit the GALLERY (The stack of negatives will apparently provide me with much amusement as well as toil in the dakroom for weeks and months to come, so it would not be a bad idea to check the site again later.) You are welcome to visit also the rest of the website, there is some new work there as well. Thank you Andrej |

There are some beautiful images here and on your website, thanks for posting. J. PS. I'd like to see the real prints.

Andrej, this work is really beautiful. First, for a week long project you've managed to collect a very fine selection of images. I'm also guessing you've been developing and printing like a madman.
The variety of tones in the prints is lovely. Lith, in the hands of someone who knows how to use it, can be very expressive. I also enjoyed the 'Silence' gallery very much. I admire your commitment and talent Andrej. |

thank you for putting this together, Andrej.
I've been very much admiring your interpretation of the Holy Mountain from what I've seen so far and it's nice to see them collected like this. Also, I didn't know you frequented these parts. Hi! |

Thank you all for your kind words... Much appreciated.

(But you are right about "printing like a madman" - these were some pretty intensive and long sessions in the darkroom - not rarely ending at 2 or 3 AM... ) Quote:
Thank you, Clive... For me it is difficult to pick a favourite.. But looking at the images and carrying them in from of my mind's eye, I still do walk those paths in my memory... |
