Lovely images Uwe and on an eclectic selection of papers and subject. The print of the frosty meadows reminds me of a place near me that I was walking in a few weeks ago with a sudden frost on the ground turning the grass white. It is also nice to see nature reclaiming every inch of available growing space with wildflowers carpeting between the tram tracks. I note they are all one species and grow low; taller species of flower, no doubt, not surviving the passing trams. The image of the sales office is particularly evocative of one of those winter late afternoons as the low sun starts to quickly set in a grey sky and the street lamps and shop windows cast warm beams of light on walls and pavement (or they used to, before cold-white LEDs!) - a warmth accentuated by the unusual yellow tinted paper you have used. It is odd how photographs of somewhere you have never been can invoke memories of other places you have been - a certain universality in the light. Thanks Uwe: another selection of excellently crafted and thought-provoking images. |
