It was called Acugrade if I remember correctly. If I had had a crystal ball and seen how quickly Paterson paper was going to disappear I'd have tried it.

Mind you Paterson didn't make its own paper anymore than Jessops did( that dreaded name again). I wonder who did make Paterson paper and whether such paper was just re-badged mainstream manufacturers' stuff or made to a slightly different emulsion/ backing paper as specified by Paterson?

Just curiosity on my part and probably not worth a separate thread

Mike, I believe that the Patterson acugrade range was made by Foma, as was the Patterson Acupan film range, The 100 was what is Fomapan 100, the 800 is no longer made by Foma,Richard

I have just finished a print where was not quite getting what I hoped for. I tried several fibre papers, Kentmere Fineprint, Adox MCC, Ilford MG IV Ilford MG Warmtone fibre and Ilford MG Warmtone RC. It was the Ilford MG Warmtone Fibre that had that extra bit of sparkle and confirmed my previous view that it is my favourite paper; just a pity about the price.
