Default Replenishment

If that is the case then how didn't the tech guys at Tetenal know this unless it has been produced some time after I spoke to them. Or is a case of the left hand not knowing what the other is doing.

Default Foot shooting

I think by reading the instructions the replenishment has a difference to that of Kodak, in that with the replenishment chemicals both developer and blix have the starter chemical and by replenishing over the life of the mix the starter and over development will reduce the capacity of the developer. The same applies to the blix.

With Kodak, you only use the starter in the initial mix, all replenishment dilutions afterwards do not use it. It would be easy to include a small bottle of starter in with the Tetenal kit for the initial mix. However as I suggested that the Tetenal seems to be designed to be used with a rotary system and not the deep tank which is why the starter is already included with the full kit. However with a rotary system you throw away the developer after a certain number of prints hence all the dev& blix need to include the starter.

Apart from that, the price differential between the two, Kodak comes in a 20 litre kit which comprise 4 separate 5 litre kits. If you buy 4 x 5 liter kits of Tetenal would cost you close to 3.5 times the price of Kodak
