Default Hi from Montevideo, Uruguay

Hi, just registered into this forum after seeing some known faces. Thanks for the nice environment.

I started in photography at about 8 years old. Thanks to my father's help, I developed and contact-printed my first film at the same age (it was Verichrome Pan, shot in a Brownie Hawkeye). At about 12 years old I was able to do the whole process alone with reasonable results.

Now I don't have a darkroom anymore, but develop my own negatives and have them scanned, and sometimes printed. Often I mix my own developer and fixer from commercial chemicals.

Being an amateur, I shot about 30 rolls a year on average, much of it B&W in 120 and 35mm. I bulk load almost all of the 35mm, usually with Ilford traditional emulsion films. As for equipment, bottom-feeding is the word.

Hola, Julio !! You are also very expert at using classic cameras in the 'real' world, at events and in the street.

Btw, I was looking again at the Luis Alba archive. Did you manage to generate any interest with the museums?

Hi Julio and welcome. It sounds as if you have a lot of experience to share with us on traditional film and print processing. I look forward to your posts.

Thanks for the kind welcome!

Sandeha, I did not get much interest in the Luis Alba negatives in museums. But I'll give those negs another shot when I get a reasonable film scanner, hopefully soon.
