It's certainly an 'individual' place, although I've always found the staff friendly and the food good. The weather looks as if it might be good on tuesday. Light cloud and no rain (although that might change!).

Individual staff members there always seem fine, but clearly someone in charge has a touch of the Basil Fawlty about them.

The posh hotel The Maynard not too far from the station does a decent pint, should anyone feel the need.

Yup. All being well I'll arrive at Grindleford station at 10:30. I'll have breakfast in the cafe then either walk up Padley Gorge and back down via the millstone quarry, or vice versa depending on the light. Looking forward to it!

Hi Rob, great meeting you today and hope you enjoyed the rest of the day. My dad will be fine in a few days time he has some blood clots on the arteries to his lungs. I am planning on going back here sometime next week if anyone is interested? Hopefully I will get to take a shot this time!

Hi Luke. Glad he's ok. You didn't miss much decent light. It brightened up a little after you left for about half an hour then the fog came down heavy. I only made about 10 exposures in all. I think I might come back in the spring!
