5-10-15-20 for me these days.
My earliest negatives are from around 1968, just over half a century ago. In those days the tank simply went under the cold tap for about twenty minutes. Then I progressed to a Paterson plug in hose. I never bothered about the wash water temperature. I have measured it as low as six degrees C last year. No reticulation, and no staining on those old negatives. I may have just been very lucky, or possibly people are being to theoretically perfect with their processing. Half a century is not bad, seeing as no particular effort was made at archival processing. Cheers.

Provided that a non-hardening fixer is used, the Ilford method works perfectly.

I have been using the Ilford method for many years now, but I tend to extend it with an extra step.
