And arrived today. Three prints one of which has handwritten notes on the back.

The main one is of an old car. I am afraid I have to disabuse you of your wife's comment about it being 'men's theme'. I regard cars generally as being a necessary bin with 4 wheels and an engine for throwing money into.

However, the car pictured is something else. While I have no idea of its identity it is rather fine, very much helped by the quality of the print. This is made on a fine lustre ivory based Foma warmtone paper with some very juicy tones and so have to say that I do like it very much.

The second print is of a light coloured sandstone escarpment and some very dark caverns that were challenging to photograph and print. This Uwe has done most successfully.

The third with the notes on the back is also of interest: a replica of a stoneage house or barn with interesting carved bargeboards. It was good getting hand written notes in these days of 'keyboard' written communications. I am afraid I am unable to do the same as my writing is and always has been barely legible and not helped by lack of practice.

Thanks very much, Mike

Default I've got that !!!!!!! covid thing!!!

For once, I've been early, with my contribution all printed and enveloped and ready to go.

But yesterday, I was coughing on and off all day. Taking two tests last night confirmed that I have that !!!!!!! covid !!! I take the home tests regularly, at least twice a week, as I volunteer at a couple of places, including an older persons community centre, where I think that I picked it up. The last test I took was on Wednesday morning, before going there, so only a few days ago, and the test result was negative.

And that's barely going out to mingle with people, always wearing a mask and keeping my distance etc. etc.

Today, it feels like a bad cold, with headaches, eye aches, runny nose and muscular pains throughout the body. The worse bit for me is being forced to stay indoors now for the next 10 days...

Given that it's still early in the month, my effort should still get out in time. It's just annoying seeing my mail to be sent pile building up.

I mention all of this to remind everyone to be careful and to get your vaccines and top ups, to keep the symptoms at a less threatening level.

Stay safe everyone.

Terry S

It's never nice being ill.
Get well soon, Terry.
