Thanks for all the welcoming noises.

Andrew, I'm in the fortunate position of being able to build it as an extension to my workshop in the yard adjacent to the house. It measures about 2.50 x 4.00m and is enough to provide photo equipment storage as well as the darkroom.
I have almost completed the insulated timber construction, and am looking forward to the fun part of the internal fitting out. Oh yes - I almost forgot, I better make the door before that.

Richard

Hi Richard and welcome. It sounds ideal. All the facilities but attached to a workshop so out of the way but part of the home. Insulation is paramount as we were reminded by today's weather forecaster on the BBC. Apparently this time last year it had dropped to minus 7 overnight and only reached 3 in the day in the coldest part of Britain which was, I think, Yorkshire. It was so cold that one of our members from Yorkshire, called Richard Ross had to declare himself to be Rrrichard Rrross at breakfast time :

Hello Richard and indeed welcome back to film and darkroom; as if there was an alternative?
