Default Hello from South Cambridgeshire.

Hello all!
John here. I'm about to re-visit an old hobby in a big way!
As a youngster I got as far as contact printing and B/W slides. I was also involved semi professionally as a police tech support officer mainly with the Cannon EOS range and lenses. Now, I'm giving up one hobby, (vintage radio )and going to try colour developing and printing instead. (I've bought a kit darkroom to start with)
I'm interested in building darkroom electronics products like timers and exposure meters if that's the right description.

John.

Hello John,

Welcome from Norfolk. I've been using the Kodak RA-4 chemicals from Firstcall Photographic in a worktop roller-transport machine for color printing. Although I haven't tried it, the Kodak RA-4 line will apparently work down to 20ºC. Kodak RA-4 kits also happen to be the least expensive on a cost per liter basis.

You need the RA developer, Bleach fix, and possibly the starter.

Tom.

Welcome aboard John! I occasionally dabble in colour, but being somewhat colour-blind does not help in that endeavour and I have to power up my colour densitometer to help me out...

Have fun, Bob.

Hi John and welcome. We're still a bit short of "colourists" so your interest will swell the ranks.

Mike
