Hi Guys,

Brief update....

I ended up using the following sequence

Dev --> Stop --> Fix --> Water holding bath followed by Toning (in KRST/WASHAID) ---> Final wash.

Worked out fine. No staining. Toning was done in another room (well ventilated) before running prints through the washer.

Will report back in 50 years time and see how archival they turned out to be!

Here is one on the drying rack. Ilford MVIV FB Classic 16x20"

Glad all went well. Several elements of your shot are quite familiar. I have battled with that type of shelving in the past, bashing each level down. The slatted upright behind I have also known and loved. A child subject hiding her eyes - I think all fathers have seen that. Reporting back in 50 years? Hmm, less likely perhaps! I'm sure your photographs will be fine

Did you just lay the print on the drying rack and let it dry. Looks to have dried very flat or was this a FB print dried by more complex means and placed on the rack so we you could show us it?

Thanks

Mike

Hi there, this was a fresh print straight out of the washer after a squeegee, so it was still wet. It does curl during drying but hate new FB Classic is less curly than its predecessor.

When dry I leave under some books overnight and it flattens out.

Sorry, that should read

"It does curl during drying but the new FB Classic is less curly than its predecessor."

Thanks, Ansel. Just another example of the improvement that appears to have been made to analogue materials during the Harman regime.
