I'm not familiar with the Speedibrews toner, but I've had success with the Ilford IT-6 formula. You can find it on my site here: http://real-photographs.co.uk/?page_id=692.

The basic chemicals are readily available from Silverprint, except for the 48% Sulfuric Acid, which may be a little problematic, both in sourcing and in use, where obvious care is needed.

If you're preparing the 48% solution yourself, get some advice and/or assistance. ADD THE ACID TO THE WATER. VERY SLOWLY.

As only 4ml is being used in 1000ml of stock solution, you can get away with using battery acid which is usually around 30% sulphuric acid (according to wikipedia).

Don't you just hate it when suppliers don't keep their web sites up to date?

I understand that the Speedibrew products have been made up at Silverprint for a number of years, so that is the first point of enquiry, but since they are no longer listing them I'm not hopeful. Sorry I can't be more help.

The trouble with iron based toners is that they fade rather quickly, and that is indeed my experience. When Michael introduced this one he said that it was fade resistant. You may be able to contact him, the details are on his website and ask him what the situation is with availability.
