Default Durst M605 - help please!

Hi all,

I’m planning my home darkroom atm and ideally would like to use a countertop on the dry side that is 63.5 cm deep. Unfortunately, My M605 enlarger is currently in store so I cannot measure it. I know the Durst 605 baseboard is 55cm deep but I think I need to allow for the enlarger head crank handle which protrudes rewards of the baseboard (if that makes sense).

If anyone here has a Durst M605, I would really appreciate it if you could check dimensions and let me know.

Thanks.

Hi Dave, no sooner seen that done. I also have the M605 and you will get away with 59cm with the crank in its rearmost position but still turnable. Actually if things are really tight then given the front feet of the baseboard are a little way in from the edge of the board you will just about get away with 57cm. The very front edge of the baseboard then sticks over the base on which the baseboard rests but the feet are still on solid ground - just

I hope this helps

Mike

103cm from the top of the head at the top of the column to the work bench.

Thanks so much for the quick reply Mike.

Ian, thanks also for confirming height. I’m ok on this as I have 2.5m ceiling height and the countertop will be 90cm high. I also plan to try out the extension column to go larger without rotating the head.

R, Dave
