Converting a garden shed into a darkroom

Many of us don’t enjoy the luxury of having a spare room in our house which can be converted into a darkroom. When I moved to my present home I was faced with the question of where to set up a new darkroom, as my house is small, but the garden I inherited was a wildness; did the answer lie there...

Many thanks for that article. I've no space for a darkroom inside - had thought of (and dismissed) a shed. Having seen your fantastic shed, i may well have to reconsider - many thanks!

hi i also use a shed in the back garden... running water, soakaway and all.
i've also got a huge problem with dust... do you?

I've only just noticed this so my apologies for the late answer. Dust does build sufficiently to demand an annual clean, but I don't find it to be a problem.

How's it holding up? I plan to complete my darkroom in 4 months from now. I'm running the power in a week or two. Do you reckon that 30 amp feeder breaker would be enough for your darkroom?
