Rollei 35T Filters.
I have been looking online at Rollei 35T cameras.
Having read that they have a 24mm filter thread. I cannot find any secondhand 24mm filters for them. The Rollei 35 S has a 30.5mm thread, and there are loads of filters for that model available, but not many cameras available in my price range. It is often said in the reviews that these quality cameras were often carried by professionals as a back-up. If that was the case, filters must have been made for them. I know sets of filters were often made to fit at the rear of mirror lenses and was wondering if anybody knows of a suitable make and model that used 24mm filters? Cheers.

I bought new Heliopan filters, mostly from Germany before the collapse of the pound.

Collas thank you for pointing them out.
Just two or three Heliopans would be about the same price as a Rollei 35T. I have seen a couple of mirror lens filter sets that would fit the 30.5mm of the Rollei 35S going for about £25 to £30. I think it could be better value in the long run to splash out on the Rollei 35S . I didn't realise the pound was so bad. Cheers again.

24mm filters
If you get in touch with Peter Loy classic cameras he has a huge stock of old cameras/lenses and he may be able to help. http://www.peterloy.com/stock-list.php He is based in London.
Failing that the Luton firm of SRB make resin filters with screw mounts and they may be able to help. Some people frown when resin filters are mentioned but I have never had a problem with them except they a a little prone to flare with direct sunlight. Their website is www.srb-photographic.co.uk They seem to be in Dunstable now, not Luton Last edited by John King; 7th September 2020 at 09:05 PM. |

Thank you John.
SRB do not seem to cover the very small filter sizes, stopping at 30mm dia. Well worth book marking their site as they have some other interesting goodies there. One thing I noticed was infra-red filters. I paid a heck of a price for a Hoya i.r. in the eighties. SRB sell their versions at very reasonable prices. Definitely a good recommendation John. Cheers.

Nat, it's worth contacting SRB as I believe they do bespoke, custom-made orders.

Bespoke versions
I will second that, they made a spare part for a macro focussing table I own so I could mount a camera to move it back and forward to get the right view I wanted.

Cokin made a hinged L shaped bracket for compact cameras they sometimes come up on Ebay. A bit of a compromise but if you have cokin A filters it would work.

There is of course stepping ring adapters and as it happens there is one on ebay right now, at just below £15 including p/p:
