Default Great Place - Thank You - A Tribute to Members and Moderaters

I would just like to offer my thanks to all members of the FADU community for all the help that I have rec'd since joining.

I have to say that I was a little nervous about joining as my knowledge and experience were very very limited (now it's just very limited ) and I was concerned that I would be some made to feel in some way inferior.

The truth could not have been more opposite if it had tried. Even when I have asked the most basic of questions ones that have perhaps even been asked ten times before. I have never been made to feel small in any way. This is down to the members, the moderaters, members attitudes to the novice, members willingness to share their knowledge and members giving time to others. I am hoping that as my skills improve I may be able to return the compliment to others.

So if there are any guests reading this post who think they may be interested in film and darkroom, but have little or no experience and are nervous about joining, I just have one thing to say to you.

Don't be nervous, jump in, Fadu is a great place to learn, and in my experience all are made to feel welcome.

Once again thank you, to you all.
Ian

I think FADU is mecifully devoid of those who think they know so much that they can't learn from others who may be less experienced.
I agree that absolutely nobody needs to feel awkward about asking a question here. To use Peter's words--well said.

I believe all forums set out to be helpful to one another with a free but polite exchange of information. It is easy to lose one's way in this endeavour but FADU is still on track

Nice to know we have proved useful, Ian

Thank you Ian. I have learned a lot from reading threads here and I hope passed on a lot of what I've learned over the years.
I often felt frustrated that apparently knowledge acquired doesn't seem to be wanted any more but it's not always the case.
