Suzuki's D76 alternatives
This page may be of interest to those of us (like me) with chemistry sets who prefer to mix their own developers. At the end of this page a developer - DS-8 is described.
I have used this, as a stock solution, as my standard developer for about a year now. It yields fine grain images with good shadow detail. It has a good shelf life too and if used as a stock developer needs only nominal developing time increases from film to film. It's well worth a try. Robert |

An interesting link Robert, which I have not seen before, and thanks for sharing. I am sure there will be a good few here that will appreciate this.
Neil.

Fascinating stuff, Robert. One of the clearest explanations of the relationship between developing agents and the other components of developers that I've come across. I'm printing the page off for a bit of bed-time reading!
