Default How Exciting...

The Wet Plate Process !!!! It brings back memories of those early pioneers walking in the footsteps of Frederick Archer, carrying around bottles of chemicals and darkroom tents. How terrible to have to coat your plate yourself, expose it in the camera whilst still wet, and return to the tent to hurriedly develop the negative ! The Collodion process also reminds one of David Octavius Hill and his contemporary Adamson, whose broad, simple compositions are regarded as some of the finest work ever produced.

If this workshop is ever repeated , please tell us Carl. Perhaps you would like to share with us some details on Collodion yourself !!
