Default Timing when using multiple toners

I'm wondering about how long a print should stay in a toner when using multiple toners?

Would it be best to add the individual toning times together OR would it be best to divide the time between the toners based on the time of completion?

Hope it makes sense!

I never time toners at all, for sepia I bleach until it reaches the depth I want, for instance, I might just bleach back just the highlights then tone until completed, If split toning, say for instance sepia then blue, I would bleach back the highlights, sepia tone, then in the blue toner until I reached the effect I wanted,When I started toning I would time every process, but I very soon found that diluting the bleach a lot more than suggested, I use 50ml in 1 liter of water, same for the toner, plus 40ml of the control to 1 liter, and for blue I again halve the normal dilution to give me more control, but I leave the timer alone and do it all by eye

I do the same as Richard - everything judged by eye.

Good Evening Marty.
Having read your post again, it seems you are following instructions which offer suggested times for toning. Is that correct?
I have used selenium, gold, and a couple of different sepias.
All are toned for appearance. I try to have good light to work in, and keep a spare print beside the toning try as a reference. This (mostly) works for me just fine.
If your toners come with recommended times, I suspect they will be additive if you are using multiple toners. Dividing the time between different baths will certainly reduce the effect of each one.
What paper are you planning to use?
Despite some internet gossip most RC papers will tone, and fibre papers need thorough washing after. I always use a bath of fresh wash-aid for toned prints.
Good Luck!

Hi Colin, I’ve put my first toning tests into an album rather than post them here.

Marty I have commented in your album section but I am confused about the information on both sets but it is the KRST strips that I have confined my questions to

I have found that toned FB prints can improve there tone with time.
