Devere 504 half glass 35mm carrier
It is awfuly fiddly to align a 35mm neg in the Devere 504 using the top half of the carrier as AR glass and the bottom the 35mm carrier plate with holes in, no location and if it is a short strip nigh on impossible. So I modified the plate with holes in to accept a piece of AR glass cut from a 6x6 glass slide mount.
Here are a few pics... Proceeding right to left (got them in the wrong order) Slot 0.8mm deep milled in the plate, the corner extensions allow the corners of the glass to fit. The glass was smoothed at the edges to stop scratching using wet wet and dry 600 grit. The slot coloured in with a black marker. Finally the glass stuck in with a small amout of evostik (the smelly stuff, the odour free 'green' stuff isn't quite as good) The glass protrudes about 0.05mm so it gets to the neg first. |
